TRADITIONS!

READ:2 THESSALONIANS 2:1-17 

So then, brothers, stand firm and hold to the traditions that you were taught by us, either by our spoken word or by our letter. 2 Thessalonians 2:15 ESV

A reference to traditions especially in certain strand of Christianity usually evokes a negative concept. However, our text reveals these traditions are the teachings of Christ and the apostles which are meant to help us stand firm and strong and not be carried away by the deceptions of the anti Christ, false miracles, signs and wonders, as well as the heresies that will invade the Church prior to the Lord’s coming. 
Beloved, these traditions written down in the Bible, no matter the negative appeal and pressure of the spirit of this age, should be tenaciously held and obeyed so that you’ll not be condemned, but share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ at His appearing! You must spend quality time studying the Word to be acquainted with and versatile on these traditions as well as obey them, so as to enjoy the great dividends therein!

PERFECT OBEDIENCE!

Perfect obedience is obedience that’s total, complete, and spotless. It’s only possible in a life that’s blameless, fully committed and dedicated to God. Our text reveals only such a life can have all its desires and dreams met and be void of disappointment and shame. 
Beloved, it is only a life that has received God’s comfort and mercy that can be blameless and perfect. It’s only through His comfort and mercy that perfect obedience can be possible. His comfort and mercy is only possible through taking delight in  studying His Word. Only a life lived in perfect obedience to Him, even in the midst of seeming contradictions that can be devoid of shame!

USELESS VERSUS USEFUL!

Worrying is life’s natural response to whatever is beyond it. Unfortunately, life will always be bedevilled with things beyond it, such as unmet needs and desires; therefore naturally, worrying will never cease. However, our text reveals worrying about unmet desires and needs, can not only cease, but should cease, because worrying is useless, and no rational mind engages in useless ventures! 
Beloved, there’s a Father who delights in providing everything you desire and need. Becoming a part of His Kingdom and doing what He wants, in the manner and at the time He wants it, will always position you to receive EVERY desire of your heart! To every desire or need in your life, He has made a provision. Change gears, stop doing the useless and switch over to the useful!

TIMES AND DATES!

Now, brothers and sisters, we don’t need to write to you about times and dates. You know very well that the day when the Lord comes again will be a surprise, like a thief who comes at night.1 Thessalonians 5:1‭-‬2 ERV

Times and dates helps us mark very important engagements and activities. They are usually written down or memorized to avoid being taken unawares and for remembrance, because our memory is susceptible to forgetfulness. Our text is a revelation of a call to do the above in readiness for the Day of the Lord, to escape the throes of being caught unawares. 
Beloved, there’s no gain saying about it, no matter how long it has lingered, the Lord Jesus is surely coming again. He has been coming and will continue coming till His final coming. The Day of the Lord is right here with us. You’ll either be caught unawares and unprepared or ready when He comes. Don’t sleep, be awake, have self control and wear faith, love and the hope Of Salvation as your garment! Shout it everywhere for all to hear Jesus Christ is coming! Beware lest you’re caught unawares and unprepared!

THE KEY!

READ: DEUTERONOMY 11: 1-15

A key unravels, grants access, as well as secures. Everything on earth has a key, or a solution. Our text reveals a chain of keys: obedience the key to blessing; remembrance and faith keys to obedience; keeping in heart the key to remembrance; and constant seeing as the key to keeping in heart. When any of the above link is missing failure and disaster follows. 
Beloved, everything the Jews needed in the Promised Land was promised, paid, and provided for by God. Similarly everything you’ll ever need in life maritally, socially, spiritually, financially and otherwise has been promised, paid and provided by Him. All you need do is, discover, remember and by faith be obedient unto the Lord, then you’ll not only be able to access and penetrate, but also possess, enjoy and secure all your divine provisions.

HAVING EVERYTHING!

READ: EPHESIANS 3:7-19

Christ’s love is greater than anyone can ever know, but I pray that you will be able to know that love. Then you can be filled with everything God has for you. Ephesians 3:19 ERV

Love generally is a mystery, but Christ’s love is more than a mystery, because it’s incomprehensible and inexplicable, yet people still passionately do experience it. Our text reveals knowledge of Christ’s mystery love, as a prerequisite for being filled with, and having everything God has for you. 
Beloved, generally life will be incomplete without love, worse still, your life will be worthless and useless without Christ’s love. Only His love can give you access to *EVERYTHING* God has for you; Until you have this access, your life won’t be worth living. It’s only when Christ is living in your heart by faith, that you’ll have this access!

COME AND SEE!

Evidence is said to be the end of all reasonable argument. This implies until an evidence is presented the argument continues. Our text reveals the invitation of the angels presenting the evidence of His resurrection to the women, their acceptance of it, accompanying joy and great transformation. 
Beloved, the Lord wants to change your gloom and sorrow to joy, mourning to dancing, sinfulness to salvation, everything around you for the best, therefore He’s inviting you to come. Until you come you cannot see, until you see, you can not know, until you know you cannot tell, until you tell others cannot know and believe, until they believe, they cannot be transformed. Come and see the evidence today!

Everything that’s precious and valuable, faces one risk, being stolen, and has one weakness, it cannot protect itself, therefore it’s always placed under guard, which meets it’s greatest need of salvation and preservation. Our text reveals, those who fear the Lord and hope in His steadfast love are under His unfailing surveillance for salvation and preservation. 
Beloved, you cannot at anytime outgrow the need for salvation and preservation from death, destruction and famine. The enemy will always want to rob and disposes you physically and spiritually, but you can always stop him by fearing the Lord,  depending on and hoping in His faithful love. Once you do, you place yourself under His surveillance hence you can go to rest, because no matter what level of threat, your salvation and preservation is guaranteed!

GOD’S SALVATION!

READ: PSALM 50:7-23

The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me; to one who orders his way rightly I will show the salvation of God!” Psalms 50:23 ESV

To experience God’s salvation and deliverance is to experience His power to save! This is the desire of everyone as no one can know peace and prosperity without it. Unfortunately not everyone do experience it, but our text reveals it can be the experience of anyone at all times, whatever the case! 
Beloved, whatever the challenge confronting you, no matter how hopelessly impossible it may seem, God’s power to save, when activated will turn it around. You activate it through a four-step action: *offering Him a sacrifice of praise, fulfilling your promises, ordering your steps aright, and calling upon Him.* When you do, He’ll surely deliver, rescue and save you  so you’ll glorify Him!

FAITHFUL!

READ: PSALM 145: 1-13 

Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout all generations. [The Lord is faithful in all his words and kind in all his works.] Psalms 145:13 ESV

Unfaithfulness usually occur as a result of changes and chances. When the Psalmist declared the Lord is faithful he meant the Lord can be trusted, is reliable and has been proven to keep His promises, because He’s not subjected to changes and chances. His kingdom continues forever, and His dominion endures throughout all generations. Simply put He can’t be deposed but will be King forever. 
Beloved, the durability and stability of God’s Kingdom spells His reliability and faithfulness. He cannot lie or fail because He’s faithful in all His words unlike man. Whatever He promises or has promised, He surely will do, no matter how hopelessly and helplessly impossible it may seem. Therefore, keep on trusting and praising Him, declaring the glory and majesty of His Kingdom. This will keep you in faith, the state needed to receive the fulfillment of His promise, which assuredly must come!
