So this is what the Lord says: ‘Soon I will take you from this world, Hananiah. You will die this year, because you taught the people to turn against the Lord.’” – Jeremiah 28:16 ERV

Rebelion is an act of open challenge, defiance or resistance to a dominance or established authority. Our text reveals it’s reward.

Beloved, every act of defiance leads to a refusal to accept normal standards or obey rules and sometimes resulting to open opposition. Rebelion which must always be against the acceptable pattern and position, is usually taught, but sometimes what’s taught is based on lies, just like Hananiah did. Unfortunately, those being taught sometimes don’t know the difference between the truth and lies or refuse to accept and believe the truth because it’s not what they anticipate, therefore they still do follow the rebellion leader to rebel like Israel did. The chief rebellion leader Satan, like Hananiah, always lead people in rebellion against God through their ignorance or with their consent. However it comes, rebellion remains unacceptable to God and attracts an unpalatable and unpleasant reward. Abhor rebellion today!

PRAYER: Lord God, help me always discover and believe the truth, so I’ll not be deceived and led into rebellion against You in any way and at any time. The unpalatable and unpleasant reward of rebellion shall never be my portion in Jesus Christ name. Amen.

Yes, the people of Babylon will have to serve many nations and many great kings. I will give them the punishment they deserve for all the things they have done.” – Jeremiah 25:14 ERV

The yardstick is a criterion, rule or specific standard basis of calculation for making a critical judgment. Our text reveals the yardstick in the divine economy.

Beloved, the acceptable rule that is used in the judgement or measurement of matters in the divine economy is static, predetermined and defined. God does what He pleases, bringing blessing or punishment upon people in accord with, but dependent on and perpendicular to their actions, through the channel or instrumentality of others. Amazingly the channel or instrument He uses still have to contend with His yardstick, which is exactly what Babylon faced in our text. This proves Jesus’ “for with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” Luke 6:38 and confirms life being all about sowing and reaping. Whatever you do or say today, remember you’ve His none dynamic but static yardstick to contend with. Therefore choose very wisely.

“I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. – John 16:12 NET

A qualification is that special skill, experience or knowledge that makes someone suitable to have, be a part of, do a particular job or activity. Our text reveals a very unique all round qualification.

Beloved, there is a condition or standard that must be complied with for the attainment of any privilege or position, which is called the qualification. It’s absence discredits, disqualifies, incapacitates and prevents from receiving and experiencing the accruing dividends, even when offered. Knowledge is everything in life, as it not only defines action and qualifies for a position, but also prevents from denial and destruction. Jesus said, there are so much more things I want to tell you, to impart more knowledge into and empower you, but you can’t bear them now, as they’ll be too much for you, because you’re simply not qualified. Praise God the Spirit of Truth, who’s freely given by God qualifies anyone that receives Him to not only know what is happening in and around him now and what will happen in the future, but also have everything the Father has. Do you desire such a state and position?

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for both desiring to, but also qualifying as many as believe and obey You. Every moment of my life, as I choose to not only listen to, but also obey the Spirit of Truth, I’ll receive everything the Lord wants to reveal to me and excel beyond measures in every way in Jesus Christ name. Amen.

“‘People from other nations will pass by this city. They will ask one another, “Why has the Lord done such a thing to this great city?”The answer will come back, “It is because they broke their covenant with the Lord their God and worshiped and served other gods.” – Jeremiah 22:8-9 NET

Violation is the act of damaging, disrespecting, desecration or destruction of an agreement,
the right of a person or place. Our text reveals it’s principle.

Beloved, infringing, ignoring, interrupting or interfering with the right of a person, or abandoning an agreement or covenant is unacceptable to God. It’s guided by the principle of sowing and reaping, which it’s irrevocability gave rise to very stern warnings from God concerning entering into a covenant or making of vows. A covenant brings you into an agreement with another, confers certain benefits and privileges, such as protections and promotions. However, every covenant right or benefit is set aside once the covenant is broken and violated. Demotion and destruction came upon Jerusalem instead of the promised protection and promotion, because Judah broke and violated her covenant with the Lord of not worshiping idols. Violation therefore gave birth to violation, just as faithfulness gives birth to faithfulness. Beware of violation of covenants!

PRAYER: Covenant keeping God, keep me away from entering into any covenant that I won’t keep and violating any that I’ve entered into with You. As I remain faithful to my covenants with You and not violate them, I receive Your protections and promotions without any destruction in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Now this is what the Lord says concerning Judah’s royal palace: “I love you as much as fruitful Gilead and the green forests of Lebanon. But I will turn you into a desert, with no one living within your walls. Jeremiah 22:6 NLT

Love is an assurance of a strong and constant affection, attraction, attachment and tenderness towards someone. Our text reveals love can fail.

Beloved, the failure of love is its inability to accomplish either what it’s expected or ought to, such as saving it’s object from danger and destruction. Failure is in two dimensions, perceived and pronounced [inability to do what’s expected and
what ought to be done]. When Paul taught, “love never fails”, in the first epistle to the Corinthians, he was referring more to pronounced than perceived failure, because when both run into conflict, the former prevails. Love compels God to unleash judgment and punishment on the sinner, like He did to Judah’s royal palace. The same love that failed to prevent Jesus from dying on the cross on your behalf and provided everything good for you, will also fail in preventing Him from sending you to eternal damnation and destruction in hellfire, if you fail to repent.

Only one thing is important. Mary has made the right choice, and it will never be taken away from her.” – Luke 10:42 ERV

Abundance is the state sufficiency and absence of lack. A state that has generally eluded humanity. Our text reveals the possibility of recovery and restoration.

Beloved, abundance was lost when His presence and Word were lost through wrong interpretation and action [Gen 3:3-6]. The rediscovery and recovering of His Word and presence, leads to the restoration of obedience and abundance. However, rediscovery and recovery stems from choosing the Word over and above all else, which Mary did. Deuteronomy 28 affirms diligent obedience to the Word, which is only possible through faith that comes from the knowledge of the Word as the only key to abundance. The knowledge of the Word and obedience guarantees productivity, productivity spells continued abidance in His presence and continued abidance guarantees access to His Word and abundance, because in His presence is the fulness of everything. Be obedient and experience abundance today.

Amen.

This is what the Lord says to the people of Judah and Jerusalem: “Plow up the hard ground of your hearts! Do not waste your good seed among thorns. Jeremiah 4:3 NLT

A seed is the fertilized ripened ovule of a plant used for propagation and production. Our text reveals seeds though sown can be wasted.

Beloved, out of every harvest, comes seeds which are meant to be sown and not eaten. The quality of the seed sown spells the quality of the harvest, all other factors being equal. God has given you a seed for sowing, but there cannot be a harvest without a sowing. Every sowing in an unplowed and hard ground among the thorns is a wastage of seed, time and effort. The secret of not wasting your spiritual seed is plowing up the hardness of your ground, which implies getting rid of everything that hinders the dedication of oneself to the Lord with a decision to always obey Him. This is the only way to prevent the wasting of your spiritual seeds, as well as guaranteeing propagation, production, provision and promotion. Until you decide to plow and plant, you cannot propagate and produce, and until you propagate and produce, you can’t prevent wastage. Plow up today.

There is no one wise enough to make a plan that can succeed if the Lord is against it.You can prepare your horses for battle, but only the Lord can give you the victory. – Proverbs 21:30-31 ERV

Futility is the state of uselessness, pointlessness and unprofitability. Our text reveals the futileness of human wisdom and understanding.

Beloved, human wisdom and understanding are natural attributes and endowment to make plans for and achieving advancement, excellence and victory. Proverb says no human wisdom, understanding or plan can stand or succeed against the Lord. Therefore, advancement, accomplishment, excellence or victory isn’t dependent on how well thought out your plans are or how well equipped and skilful you’re, but on the Lord God. Statements like “a person may think up plans, but the Lord decides what he will do”, “It’ll happen as I’ve planned and decided” and “apart from me you can do nothing” [Prov 16:9;Ish 14:24;Jn 15:5] corroborates it and exposes the futility of humanity’s efforts without the Lord. Therefore ensure your plans and steps are ordered by the Lord.

I said, “I will be careful about what I say. I will not let my tongue cause me to sin. I will keep my mouth closed when I am around wicked people.” – Psalm 39:1 ERV

The ungodly are the wicked people who directly or indirectly, deliberately or inadvertently leads to sin. Our text reveals how to deal with them.

Beloved, the ungodly not only directly and indirectly sins, but also deliberately and inadvertently lead others into sinning. Contending with the ungodly is inescapable and unavoidable and your life will always be a reflection of your encounter with the ungodly. The influence of the ungodly is felt in the dimensions of what is said and done. Whoever excels in these areas have excelled in life. The key to excellence and victory over the ungodly is carefulness, diligence and watchfulness. James said, any person who can control his tongue, is perfect because he can also control himself in every other way too [3:2]. Whenever and wherever the ungodly is, there’ll always be baits to ensnare. Carefulness will compel you to hold your tongue or close your mouth, which implies watching what you say and do when unavoidably found around the wicked.

Stay joined together with me, and follow my teachings. If you do this, you can ask for anything you want, and it will be given to you. – John 15:7 ERV

Satisfaction is the inner peace emanating from the state of provision of all a person needs. Our text reveals the secret for experiencing it.

Beloved, the act of providing all that’s needed or desired by an individual, both physically and spiritually brings satisfaction. Human needs are inexhaustible, therefore a continual connection to the Source and unclogging of the channel of flow is indispensable for satisfaction. While connection guarantees concession, unclogging guarantees reception and reception guarantees satisfaction. Jesus said, obedience to Me is the only ground for connection, connection for fruition, fruition for requisition, requisition for reception and reception for satisfaction. However, note that obedience is the product of choice. Therefore choose obedience.
