READ: MARK 5:21-34

And Jesus, perceiving in himself that power had gone out from him, immediately turned about in the crowd and said, “Who touched my garments?” Mark 5:30 ESV

Power draining faith is simply faith that is alive and productive which accomplishes it’s desired dream without seeking attention from Jesus. Whereas others seek Jesus to either notice them, speak a word, or come down to their house to boost their faith, power draining faith is self motivated and activated.
Mark 5, is filled with several demonstration of living faith, but Jesus testified in verse 34 of a power draining faith in the case of the woman with an incurable sickness, that defied all medical expertise:  “Daughter, it is your faith that has healed you. Go home in peace, and be free from your trouble”. This woman’s faith was so power thirsty it syphoned power from Jesus without His consent, revealing to us the we don’t need any consultation to access God’s power. If there’s any not to be healed it should have been her, because medical science had declared her case hopeless and told her “go write your will”, however she rewrote what men wrote with her power draining faith.
Beloved, it doesn’t matter what medical science and other human experts in your case have said or written. It doesn’t matter how long your situation may have remained the same, it also doesn’t matter what efforts you made in the past to experience a breakthrough or change in your situation and the abortive results you got, we announce to you today, if only you can believe, and if only you can decide and determine to take a step of faith, you don’t need anyone, right there in the comfort of your home, with your eyes of faith see Jesus Christ and touch, only touch the fringe of His garment and you’ll sure hear Him say “you are made well because you believed. Go in peace. You will not suffer anymore.” Glory hallelujah! We’re awaiting your testimony!

The Lord your God is with you. He is like a powerful soldier. He will save you. He will show how much he loves you and how happy he is with you. He will laugh and be happy about you, Zephaniah 3:17 ERV
Salvation is being safe and secure in every way and area, even in the midst of destruction and enemies more powerful than you! A total removal of whatever that brings shame and ridicule. This looks very difficult or even impossible.
Our text however reveals this as not only possible but also God’s craving desire for His children. It says God “will save you. He will show how much he loves you and how happy he is with you. He will laugh and be happy about you”. Earlier He said: “I want you to fear and respect me. If you do this, your home will not be destroyed” Vs. 7. Invariably, whoever that  makes God happy through  obedience, will experience His love which translates to salvation and preservation.
Beloved, God is willing to spend and be spent, He’ll stop at nothing in ensuring you experience His salvation and preservation. He’ll scatter and destroy peoples, kingdoms and nations, once it’ll make you experience salvation. There’s no price or sacrifice He considers too costly for your salvation and preservation. God has paid and provided for your all round salvation, [safety, security, peace, and removal of every shame and ridicule], however you’ll activate it with your obedience, which must be processed by hearing!

READ: PSALM 50:1-15

“If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world and its fullness are mine. Psalms 50:12 ESV
We often have three wrong mentality about God and our offerings: doing Him a favor when we worship Him with our resources; treating Him as a hungry beggar who’s only after our resources, which explains the peanuts we usually give as offerings to Him; seeing Him as someone who can be appeased by our sacrifices, therefore we can live anyway we want.
Our text however brings an amazing revelation about God: _*” If I were hungry, I would not ask you for food. I already own the world and everything in it.*_  Prior to this He said what I want is not sacrifices and offerings, but pure worship which is manifested in your obedience to my instructions. Jesus calls this worship in spirit and in truth.
Beloved, you owe God obedience which is the way to worship Him in spirit and in truth. This obedience includes honoring Him with your resources and fulfilling every promise you make in any church, fellowship or gathering of His people! (Vs. 14,23). This is the way to be pleasing and acceptable to Him. When your ways are pleasing and acceptable to the Owner of every wealth and resources on earth, then you can be assured He’ll not only grant you access to all He has, but control of it. Sometimes you may seem not to be in control, all you need do is ask, that’s what He meant when He says, “call me when trouble comes. I will help you, and you will honor me”. Whatever that’s lacking in your life God has and is willing to give you if you ask,  when your ways are pleasing to Him!

READ: ACTS 1: 12-26

Peter said, “In the book of Psalms, this is written about Judas: ‘People should not go near his land; no one should live there.’ And it is also written: ‘Let another man have his work.’ Acts 1:20 ERV

Replacement is letting another take the place of, the act or process of replacing. It’s a display of displeasure, disapproval, dissatisfaction, and redundancy as a result of unproductivity. This happens only as a result of unfruitfulness which is an act of disobedience.
Our text reveals the first and possibly only replacement in the New Testament — Judas. His disobedience,  unproductivity, and unprofitable nature led to his loosing his place. In the Old Testament, King Saul comes to mind. Since God hates any vacuum, Saul was replaced by David, Judas by Matthias. Elsewhere in John, Jesus warned, every branch that does not bear fruit will be cut off and his place another will take. He also warned if the people won’t praise me, they’ll be replaced by the rocks!
Beloved, God’s agenda and program cannot be stopped. He said there will be a shaking so that everything that is not strong will go off; every unfruitful and unproductive branch will be cut off and replaced. There’s a replacement happening right now in the Church. You must be determined to be and remain productive so you won’t be replaced. On another hand, everything or person in or around your life that has been unfruitful and unprofitable, [investment, womb, association, etc ], you’ve been given the authority to cut off and replace with fruitfulness, productivity and profitability. Swing into action, don’t delay anymore, barrenness or under-productivity is unacceptable, it must be replaced!

During the famine in Canaan, Jacob learned that there was grain in Egypt. So he said to his sons, “Why are you sitting here doing nothing? Genesis 42:1 ERV
It’s beyond any reasonable argument that a person’s power is directly proportional to his degree of knowledge,  as well as knowledge based actions he takes. Likewise it’s undeniable that knowledge stems from information.
The above is substantiated by our text which reveals Jacob sending his children to Egypt to buy grains,  based on knowledge through information. This action saved his generation from extinction, as it connected them to their destiny helper.  Isn’t this what the prophet Hosea had in mind when he said my people perish due to lack of knowledge (4:6). Destruction usually follows inaction or ill-action, which are very often than not the result of lack of knowledge.
Beloved, until you take action you won’t be connected to Jesus, the Kinsman Redeemer, and Destiny Helper. Until you’re informed about Him, you won’t know Him, until you know Him you wont be connected to Him. Until you’re connected to Him, and crave for information from Him, you’ll be destroyed, because you will neither know His plans for you nor how to bring it to manifestation.  Hear me rightly,  whatever you need or ever will need for a fulfilled life have been paid and provided, but you can only access it by having a knowledge of it. You can only have the knowledge through the words of Jesus Christ. So dig into the Scriptures daily!

: I JOHN 1:1-12

It is our faith that has won the victory against the world. So who wins against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God. I John 1:5 ]ERV]

Since after the Fall, the whole world has been under the control of the evil one. He uses it to truncate God’s plan for us, dislocate and disposes us in other to accomplish his evil agenda. Since sin, the world and the evil one are more powerful than mortals, left on our own we’ll be nothing but mere puppets in the hands of the evil one.
However, our text says there’s hope for the hopeless, a panacea to the  rampaging and ravaging of sin, the world and the evil one. This panacea is in what Jesus Christ did. Therefore, whoever believes that Jesus is the son of God, has faith and whoever has faith, receives the victory of Jesus over the world, sin, and the evil one. Whoever has this victory also has victory over all the effects of the victory of the evil one over Adam.
On this premise, the Lord declared *all things are possible to whoever believes*. When the Lord said all things, He means all things. No matter how terrible your marriage, health, finances, relationship with God or with family and friends may be, they’re all part of the world and effects of the Fall. Your faith in the Lord Jesus gives you victory over them. The degree you believe, is the degree of victory you’ll experience. You have a guaranteed victory in Christ Jesus through faith.

READ: LUKE 2:25-33

For my eyes have seen your salvation. Luke 2:30 ESV

Salvation is the redemption, setting free, saving or deliverance from sin and it’s consequences; Preservation from bondage, danger, destruction, difficulty, evil or failure.
Our text reveals Simeon’s testimony of the Salvation of the Lord personified. Being moved and guided by the Holy Spirit, he came to the right place at the right time and was saved from continuing to wait, as he was able to see the Salvation of God, a fulfillment of His promise to him.
Beloved, for you to experience salvation in any area of your life, you must have an encounter with Jesus Christ who’s salvation personified. You must hear of the salvation before you can see it with your eyes of faith. You must see the salvation God planned and promised you, with your eyes of faith, because what you don’t see through the eyes faith, you cannot experience or see with your physical eyes. Whatever you don’t see through the eyes of faith, you cannot believe, what you don’t believe you cannot experience. Start seeing, believing and experiencing today.

READ: MARK 14: 1-9

Some of the followers there saw this. They were upset and complained to each other. They said, “Why waste that perfume? Mark 14:4 ERV
A waste is using something valuable in a way that is too much or that’s considered unnecessary, unproductive and ineffective.
Our text reveals a woman’s “wasteful” action being condemned by the disciples, but amazingly encouraged and defended by the Lord. Generally waste is not encouraged by the Him, but amazingly here, He not only supports but also encourages it to the dismay of His disciples.
Beloved, God has given you something of great value that He longs for you to beautifully waste on Him. Until you waste and lavish what He has given you on Him, He’ll not waste and lavish that which He has on you. It was only when Solomon wasted and lavished the animals in worship of God, that He lavished and wasted wisdom, wealth. It was when the widow lavished her mite on Him, that He lavished encomiums on her. Lavish and waste your time, praise and worship, money, strength, etc on Him now without consultation and He’ll sure lavish all He has on you too!

The Narrow Door

READ: LUKE 13:22-30

“The door to heaven is narrow. Try hard to enter it. Many people will want to enter there, but they will not be able to go in. Luke 13:24 ERV

A narrow door is literally a door that fat, big and wide things or people cannot easily be passed through. It invariably takes a lot of sacrifices and discipline to pass through it.
Our text describes the door to heaven as a being narrow, which implies, it’s a difficult door that serious handwork is needed to be able to go through it. It says: try hard to enter through the narrow door that opens the way to heaven! Many people will try to enter there, but they will not be able. The hard work in question here is nothing but obedience to the Lord. Obedience is regarded as hard work because human nature is resistant to submission which is the demonstration of obedience.
Beloved, heaven is a prepared peaceful place,  God’s home, where all no pain, tear, sin or suffering can exist. Figuratively, it’s a state of having every desire and dream met. God has made every provision for your all round peace. However, you can neither experience this peace nor  qualify to literally enter into heaven until you discipline yourself and be obedient to God. Your obedience to God will very often than not lead to difficulty, pain and suffering, which are satanic roadblocks to scare you away; but whoever overcomes, is greatly rewarded by the Lord!

READ: PSALM 18:1-19

He bowed the heavens and came down; thick darkness was under His feet. Psalms 18:3‭, ‬9 ESV
The concept of bringing God down could sound odd and impossible, however bringing God down is simply bringing Him into our situation and causing His delivering power to be felt and experienced in it.
Our text shows the Psalmist testifying that God tore open the sky and came down into His situation, because he called to Him and cried out for help. Note the following: Until God came into the situation of the Psalmist nothing changed, but when He did everything changed. Although God was aware of the situation, He did nothing until the cry and call of the Psalmist got to Him.
Beloved, you’ll always have situations beyond your control. God is awaiting for you to do that which He cannot do, invite Himself to such situations. The moment you do, He bows the heavens, steps in and takes over, to do that which you cannot do for yourself. Call to Him now, no matter the situation and watch Him tear open the sky and come down to save you.
Grace upon grace!
