And the king of Israel said to his servants, “Do you know that Ramoth-gilead belongs to us, and we keep quiet and do not take it out of the hand of the king of Syria?” 1 Kings 22:3 ESV

Keeping quiet is doing nothing, making no attempt at taking back or reclaiming what belongs to you. Our text reveals it’s consequences.

Beloved, keeping quiet is displaying your ignorance or timidity. You’ll always keep quiet and never take any action concerning what’s yours, unless you’ve a knowledge and understanding that it’s yours and that you ought to, as well as can reclaim. Reclaiming means there was a loss which came out of a previous defeat or intimidation and defeats and intimidation comes only from an enemy. Reclaiming or taking back can only be possible through partnership and skills acquisition. The enemy always steals what belongs to you, Jesus Christ is always your Recovery Partner and Encourager. You’ll only take back and recover whatever the enemy stole from you by partnering with Jesus.

And when they came to the threshing floor of Nacon, Uzzah put out his hand to the ark of God and took hold of it, for the oxen stumbled. 2 Samuel 6:6 ESV

The Ark is a token of the covenant between God and Israel. Our text reveals the effect of a disregarding the covenant demand.

Beloved, the Ark is a reminder, a symbol or representation of God’s presence and power among His people. Carrying it is therefore carrying His presence and in His presence is fullness of joy and abundant life because everything is possible. Every covenant have demands as well as dividends but experiencing the dividends always depend on fulfilling the demands. Every disobedience to and disregarding of the demand leads to great loss and disaster irrespective of the intention. The presence and power of the Lord must be carried by the “priest” who’s the only one that’s found holy, acceptable and pleasing to Him. Faith in Christ makes you acceptable and qualified!

But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, Philippians 3:20 ESV

A Savior is one who saves from danger, destruction, failure, harm or whatever you cannot save yourself from. Our text reveals believers have such.

Beloved, there’s a Savior to whatever uncomfortable, unpleasant and unwanted situation you find yourself in, He’s the Lord Jesus Christ, who obtained your salvation through the cross of His suffering. Only those who do not live as enemies of this cross, whose minds are not set on worldly things are citizens of heaven. No one can be saved from setting his mind on worldly things unless the Lord is in him. He saves everyone He hears their cry, doesn’t hear the cry of anyone He’s not in, cannot be in anyone who doesn’t believe in Him, no one can believe in Him without hearing His Word, you cannot hear Him without His coming to you and He comes to everyone at his time of need. Your need is your qualification.

PRAYER: Lord God, I refuse to live as an enemy of Your cross by replacing You with my own desires which leads to destruction. Today and always I’ll live for you and always experience Your salvation in every area of my life in Jesus name.

Marriage is honorable in every way, so husbands and wives should be faithful to each other. God will judge those who commit sexual sins, especially those who commit adultery. Hebrews 13:4 GW

Esteem is an affection, high regard and respect for something. Our text reveals a demand of esteem for marriage and how to accomplish it.

Beloved, esteeming marriage is to dignify, honor, respect and give it the proper attitude. Understanding the married life as a sacrificial life and the marital covenant as exclusive is very vital in esteeming marriage. The exclusiveness of the married life and covenant is more glaring in sexual relationship. The demand for not defiling the marriage relationship can only be fulfilled through love. Only love makes sacrifice possible and sacrifice fosters fellowship. Lust for money and incontinence usually leads to trafficking in others bodies and the defiling of the marriage relationship. Every sexual activity outside of marriage both by the singles and the married is detestable, disgusting and unacceptable to God.

PRAYER: Lord God, I repent of every way I’ve disrespected and defiled the marriage relationship before now. Reign in me today and always, so I’ll always hear, believe, obey You, and not in anyway defile, disrespect or dishonor the marriage relationship anymore and be exposed to your wrath in Jesus name.

My goal is to know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death. Philippians 3:10 HCSB

Becoming like someone means being a replica or resemblance of the person. Our text reveals the key to becoming like Jesus.

Beloved, becoming like Jesus is dependent on knowledge, connection, relationship and experience. Knowledge brings connection, connection breeds relationship, relationship breeds experience and experience produces replication or resemblance. Your degree of knowledge equals your degree of sacrifice, while your degree of sacrifice which is dependent on value, will be directly proportional to your degree of replication and resemblance. Until you count everything you are and have as worthless trash when compared to knowing Christ, you will never sacrifice them, until they are sacrificed, you’ll never know or become like Him and until you’re like Him, you’ll never have His power and victory.

PRAYER: Lord God, I count everything I am and have as unimportant and worthless trash, therefore I sacrifice them for the privilege of knowing and becoming like You. I’m made right with You through faith today and always, therefore I exercise Your power and experience all round victory over the devil and his agents in Jesus name.

Look out for the dogs, look out for the evildoers, look out for those who mutilate the flesh. Philippians 3:2 ESV

Dogs are carnivores but can be domesticated and tamed. Our text reveals spiritual dogs and gravely warns about them.

Beloved, every untamed dog is very dangerous and can be very deadly as it’s bite more often than not leads to death. Spiritual dogs are simply evil workers who are out to harm you through evil and wrong teachings and deeds that will poison and severe your relationship with Jesus, thereby leading to your death. They’ve a father and will be like their father the devil, who’s mission is always to kill and destroy. Until you’re cautious of these dogs you’ll always fall prey to and be their victim. Connecting with Jesus, being sober, vigilant and conscious of their existence and the fatal effects of becoming their prey is the only way out. Only the presence of the Lion of Judah with and in a person can keep these dogs away.

Now Elijah the Tishbite, of Tishbe in Gilead, said to Ahab, “As the Lord , the God of Israel, lives, before whom I stand, there shall be neither dew nor rain these years, except by my word.” 1 Kings 17:1 ESV

Unfailing words is a state of having anything you say come to pass. Our text reveals humans can get to this state.

Beloved, unfailing words are words that must come to pass. It brings every desire and dream into a manifestation and reality. Only God has the capability of speaking unfailing words and it’s His faith that makes Him speaks them. It takes connection to, association and relationship with God and abidance in His presence to have His kind of faith and to speak unfailing words. Whoever speaks by His inspiration, always speaks unfailing words, as whatever he says must come to pass. Ever desiring everything you say to come pass? Always remain connected and speak by faith through His inspiration.

“Just as the Father has loved me, I have also loved you; remain in my love. If you obey my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. John 15:9-10 NET

Experiencing love is enjoying the full impact and dividends of love. Our text reveals the secret of experiencing love.

Beloved, love exists, is expressed and experienced through connection, connection is sustained through relationship, whereas relationship is sustained through obedience. Love ceases to exist once it’s not experienced, ceases to be experienced once it’s not expressed and ceases to be expressed once there’s no connection, which comes through obedience. Love is experienced in the heart, only those in God’s heart, experiences His love and only the obedient remains in His heart. Whoever that’s loved have access to everything that God owns but continual obedience guarantees a continual dwelling in and enjoyment of dividends of God’s love.

And they were saying to one another, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance of the tomb?” Mark 16:3 ESV

Stones are used to secure, protect, inhibit or retrain unwanted access. Our text reveals inhibiting stones can be overcome.

Beloved, hindering stones are meant to bring some level of obstruction, opposition and resistance to whatever you’ve been destined to do or possess. Doing or possessing them will always be dependent on overcoming, pushing/trampling down or rolling away the stone of inhibition. God designed life in such a way that when you do your part, He’ll surely do His. Hindering stones aren’t yours to roll away, but when you trust Him, exhibit faith in His name and get engrossed with pleasing Him, He makes doing His will anger pleasing Him possible by rolling away every stone, removing every obstacle from your path to doing His will and overcoming every foe hindering you from possessing your possession.

Be patient like those farmers and don’t give up. The Lord will soon be here! . James 5:8 CEV

To give up is to be unexpectant, loose hope, surrender and be defeated. Our text reveals how to overcome this trend and it’s corresponding effects.

Beloved, whoever gives up, looses enduring spirit, cannot be patient, fight back, gets defeated and destroyed because lack of patience leads to grumbling, irrational behavior, judgment, as well as death and destruction. Giving up stems from disappointment, discouragement and dissatisfaction, which results from unfulfilled, unmet or delayed dreams and expectations. Patience is a prerequisite for blessing, as it’s absence equals lack of faith and hope. God’s blessings and promises comes to fulfillment at the appointed time and season. Only patience keeps faith active and only active faith can bring blessings. Ever in need of blessings, learn patience and don’t give up!
