WASHED FOR BURIAL READ: ACTS 9:36-43

Washing for burial is part of the final preparation for burying a corpse. This final preparation shows futility and hopelessness. However our text reveals there can be hope in hopelessness.

Beloved, being washed for burial says my best ability and effort has been exhausted and yielded no fruit or result therefore I’m accepting and surrendering to my fate. I’ve given up because to me absolutely nothing else can be done, this case is hopelessly closed. Peter’s invitation and presence turned the funeral into a celebration, hopelessness into hope, mourning into dancing, because he knew, had connection with and faith in the Hope of the Hopeless, Game-changer and Master of every circumstance and situation, Jesus Christ. Whatever situation in and around your life that has been written off, tagged an impossibility and a closed chapter, washed and prepared for burial, will certainly turn around, change, cease from being hopeless, if you’ll be the only person that’ll believe in the possibility of the impossible through Christ like Peter.

PRAYER: Source and Sustainer of all lives, Jesus the Son of God thank You for being my Hope in hopelessness. I refuse to accept every report and verdict of man over any issue in and around my life. Beloved, a tours guide leads to safety, and the best places at the barest cost, thereby preventing losses. Getting lost, injured, robbed and probably killed is usually the fate of any pilgrim without a competent tours guide. Our text reveals the Lord as the most competent, experienced and ultimate Tours Guide, in life’s pilgrimage. The relevance and usefulness of a tours guide is greatly dependent on and determined by the attitude of the pilgrim. The only winning attitude, obedience, stems from trust and trust leads to excellence. Whoever that’s led by God belongs to Him and whoever that belongs to Him is always defended, distinguished, excels and is victorious. God never leads halfway or ever abandons any project except by the choice of the pilgrim. Your degree of trust in your Tours Guide determines your degree of obedience, whereas your degree of obedience spells your degree of excellence. You’ll never have a dull moment, never miss any blessing and never lack anything good following your Tours Guide!

PRAYER: Gracious God and Father, thank You for Your availability and willingness to be my Tours Guide in life’s journey. I repent over the times, for any reason I refused to trust and obey You. OVERCOMING DARKNESS! READ JOHN 8:12-18

Later, Jesus talked to the people again. He said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never live in darkness. They will have the light that gives life.” John 8 :12 ERV

Darkness is the biblical representation of evil, emptiness, formlessness, lifelessness, nothingness and sinfulness. Darkness is so strong that it will always attempt to resist the light and until its overcome nothing can exist. However, our text reveals darkness can be overcome.

Beloved, darkness is an evil, dismal, grim and gloomy situation devoid of light. God overcame darkness at the beginning of creation with the light and this victory brought life into existence. This reveals that the only way to have life is to overcome darkness and our text reveals the only way to overcome darkness is to follow Jesus the Light of the world. Following Jesus equals being with and like Him, which means thinking, talking and acting like Him. This is a very costly and sacrificial thing to do because His life was a costly and sacrificial one. However the cost of light always fades when compared to the price of darkness, therefore light remains a far better, cheaper and wiser alternative and option to darkness.

SEEING GODS GLORY! READ : ACTS 7:51-60

But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, gazed steadily into heaven and saw the glory of God, and he saw Jesus standing in the place of honor at God’s right hand. Acts of the Apostles 7:55 NLT

God’s glory is the totality of His personality, especially His awesome and beautiful power. Our text reveals how to see it.

Beloved, in God’s glory is everything about Him. Whoever sees it has seen everything about God and can access it. Whoever accesses God’s glory, gets raptured spiritually from earth to heaven, with access to everything that God has and knows no impossibility. God’s glory diminishes, dwarfs and dwindles everything on earth but comes with a price. Firstly, it takes the price of possession of spiritual eyes to see it and these spiritual eyes are only received through the Holy Spirit. The degree of the anointing of the Holy Spirit in you, equals your degree of spiritual eyes as well as the degree of God’s glory you can see. Secondly, there must be a desire to see God’s glory displayed and manifested through an intent and steady gaze into heaven, before you can see it. Seeing God’s glory is part of your salvation package but it may remain unopened and unutilized. The degree of God’s glory you see equals the degree of His power you’ll know and wield.

OPERATION NO EXCUSES: COME OUT! READ DEUTERONOMY 8:1-17

You will have all you want to eat. Then you will praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you. Deuteronomy 8:10 ERV

Excuses are arguments or reasons offered against, to explain away, or justify an action. Our text reveals there are no acceptable excuses to a divine order.

Beloved, excuses are expressions of our choices and preferences. In relation to God, excuses always mar us, because they keep us away from His presence and presents. Your excuses to God, is useless and irrelevant, because He never demands from you what He didn’t first give you, neither does He require from you what He didn’t equip you to do. The guests in Luke 14:15ff, were kept away from God’s presence and presents by their various excuses. Having all you want to eat, building good houses and dwelling in them, all round prosperity, is dependent on being obedient to the Lord, come out from whatever and wherever He wants you to come out of, which will keep you where He wants you to be. Until you come out of where and what you’re in, He cannot take you to where you ought to be. And until He takes you to where you ought to be, you can’t be what you’re meant to be, experience and enjoy. Break off the yoke of excuses today and always!

OPERATION NO EXCUSES: THERE’S A MAN….! READ: DANIEL 5:10-17

There’s a man in your kingdom who has the spirit of the holy gods. In the days of your grandfather, he was found to have insight, good judgment, and wisdom like the wisdom of the gods. There’s a man…, is an adjectival clause or phrase introducing the end of a search and the discovery of a description. Our text reveals the discovery of a personality of integrity.

Beloved, a person of integrity may be unrecognized, unappreciated and unrewarded but cannot be unnoticed and unknown by men. Persons of integrity are always truthful, trustworthy, responsible and reliable. Becoming a person of integrity is primarily a choice and personal decision, secondarily of circumstance and environment. Daniel in a strange land with false, strange gods and no one watching over him, chose to remain faithful to God and carved out a niche for himself in representing God. God is always looking for a man that’ll represent and not deny Him in any circumstance, a man He’ll bestow His Spirit on, entrust His power with and never regret it. If Daniel in a strange land under harsh circumstances could be a person of integrity, then you too must. You’ve no excuses because your circumstances are far better than His!

OPERATION NO EXCUSES: YOUR STORY MUST POSITIVELY CHANGE READ: Esther 6:1-11

Then Haman took the apparel and the horse and conducted Mordecai on horseback through the open square of the city, proclaiming before him, Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delights to honor. Esther 6:11 ERV

Change makes a radical difference and alteration in the appearance, form or state of something. Our text reveals a strategic positive change is possible even in least expected circumstances.

Beloved, every positive change brings decoration, promotion and satisfaction. Change is never automated but have catalysts that activate and precipitate it. Once there’s a continuous catalystic action on a subject over an appointed period, change occurs. Catalystic actions are usually beneath and covert, however their results are overt. Mordecai’s change had three catalysts, the report that saved the kings life, consistent obedience to the Lord and intercession. After saving the king’s life, because it wasn’t the appointed time to favor Mordecai, the catalyst couldn’t produce promotion and honoring. However when the appointed and set time came, nothing could prevent the decoration and promotion. Even his worst enemy, was used to decorate, honor and promote him. It’s your set time and no excuse, no demon, nothing in heaven and on earth, can prevent your decoration, promotion and honoring. Even your worst enemy and challenge, will be used to decorate and honor you.

PRAYER: Merciful Father, I thank You because it’s the set and appointed time to favor me. Thank You also that today, no excuse, no demon and absolutely nothing can prevent my decoration and elevation. Right now, I receive Divine decoration and elevation in Jesus name.

NO EXCUSES: IT CAN’T BE TOO LATE! READ : JOHN 11:34-44

Jesus said, “Don’t be troubled. Trust in God, and trust in me. John 14:1 ERV

To be troubled is to be agitated, anxious, distressed, disturbed, worried and upset. Life always gives us these, but our text reveals a stern warning against it.

Beloved, to be troubled is to have no faith or trust in God and in Jesus. Faith in God, which is confidence and trust in the truth [the Word], irrespective of evidences and facts is the panacea to panic, pains, troubles and worries. Lazarus was rotten and smelling, being dead and buried for four days, Sarah was written off by the best gynecologist of her day, being dead reproductively but when Jesus came, mercy said no, it’s not too late, faith believed and immediately their stories were changed. Truth triumphed over evidences and facts. When evidences and facts contradict the Truth, when it seems the Lord has arrived too late, when it seems it’s getting or has become too late, when facts and evidences show is too late, what do you do, where do you pitch your tent, what do you believe, fact or truth? Today, we’ve come to announce to you by the Word of the Lord, No excuses: it can’t be too late. Just believe!

NO EXCUSES: PROTOCOLS MUST BE BROKEN! READ Mark 3 :1-6

Jesus said to the man with the crippled hand, “Stand up here in front of everyone.” Mark 3:3

Protocol is the process of doing things in its rightful pattern and procedure. Our text reveals protocol can be disregarded and negated to usher in order.

Beloved, protocols is the process of ensuring orderliness which is very good in itself. However orderliness more often than not breeds limitation, cages and fosters bondage, once people are addicted and enslaved to it. A miracle is a breech and suspension of protocols, because miracles cannot happen until protocols are broken or suspended. The enemy uses even legitimate things as excuses to hold people captive and at ransom, for instance the man with a crippled hand. However Jesus Christ says, I’m the Beginning and the Ending, Master and Owner of protocols, because it’s the appointed time, every protocol must therefore be broken, set aside and suspended because of you; No protocol is sufficient to stop your freedom, liberation and promotion.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, thank You for breaking, negating, setting aside and suspending every protocol for my sake. Right now and always, because there are no more excuses, I receive both the blessings and favor I deserve and don’t deserve in Jesus name Amen.

NO EXCUSES: I MUST WORK! READ: John 9:1-12

While it is daytime, we must continue doing the work of the one who sent me. The night is coming, and no one can work at NIGHT. John 9:4 ERV

Work is a prolonged physical or mental effort exerted to overcome obstacles and achieve an objective or result. Our text reveals Jesus’ attitude to it.

Beloved, work is the process of being involved in an activity in which one exerts or expends energy, strength or faculties. Naturally, work isn’t attractive because it’s tasking and not directly or immediately beneficial. It takes an understanding and a determination to overcome the several debilitating and distracting factors that do militate against work. Night which is identified as the basic obstacle, is a figurative representation of the limitations and hindrances to work. Whoever will work, must overcome them through proper time management. Since night can only prevent working by choice, therefore there are no excuses for not working. Work is doing the will of God which is saying what He said and calling non existent things into existence by faith like He did. When confronted by issues, you must choose whether to say what He said, what you want to see or what you’re seeing. Your work determines your dividend.
