Your hands were not bound; your feet were not fettered; as one falls before the wicked you have fallen.” And all the people wept again over him. 2 Samuel 3:34 ESV

To fall is to be defeated and destroyed. Our reveals this as always the desire of the wicked.

The wicked detests and dislikes you and doesn’t want your continued existence or advancement. Falling before the wicked usually comes not as a result of physical disability or weakness, lack of strength or skill, but very often than not, as a result of deceit, insensitivity, lack of understanding and independence. Until the enemy catches you unarmed and unguarded, until he disarms you, he’ll remain powerless over you and cannot bring you down. Your arms will only be laid down, when you’re talked into trusting the wicker, trusting the wicked comes only through deception and deception only through independence from and insensitivity to the Holy Spirit. Therefore always remain sensitive to and dependent on the Holy Spirit.

Grace upon grace!

PRAYER: Lord God, I refuse to be insensitive to and independent of the Holy Spirit as well as ignorant of the devices of the enemy. The wicked won’t deceive me into trusting him and laying down my defenses to be destroyed by him in Jesus name.
