Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Psalms 23:4 ESV

Fear is an involuntary natural response to any threat of danger or loss. Our text reveals though fear is real, yet it can be conquered.

Beloved, fear is not really dependent on location, position, circumstance, or situation, but on companion. The Psalmist said, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death that’s naturally terrifying and threatening, I won’t be afraid because of my Companion – The Lord my Shepherd! When the Lord is with you as your Shepherd, fear will be overcome as every threat and danger becomes impotent, toothless and powerless because His rod will always correct and keep you in the right track as well as defend you!

Grace upon grace!
