“Master,” Simon replied, “we’ve worked hard all night long and caught nothing! But at Your word, I’ll let down the nets.” Luke 5:5 HCSB

Yesterday, we established “because” or “but” as a game changer. Our text reveals this being demonstrated in Peter’s life.

Beloved, because obedience is obedience whether forced or voluntary, and God is faithful, in Him there’s no shadow of variableness, He cannot help but honor every obedience to His Word. Peter’s obedience here was compelled – “I’m a very seasoned fisherman, there’s no reason to let down the nets at this time of the day, because we’ll catch nothing, but at Your word ….” Every obedience whether forced or voluntary cannot be devoid of faith, though the faith may not be overt. This explains why every obedience to the Word, always attract God’s blessings. No matter how difficult it may seem, always find a “because” or “but” to obey His Word and experience your impossibility turn to possibility!

Grace upon grace!
