Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place— the Most High, who is my refuge— no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent. Psalms 91:9‭-‬10 ESV

Divine preservation is superior to protection. Protection may save from loss but not necessarily from damage. Our text reveals preservation does both.

Beloved, divine preservation is part of the honor and decoration of unlimited grace enjoyed by those who make the Lord their dwelling place. He cannot be your dwelling place unless you make a definite decision to go to Him and you cannot go to Him unless you trust Him. When you’re enjoying divine preservation, you’ve nothing to fear or worry about by day or night. Divine preservation doesn’t guarantee you won’t see things meant or sent to harm you, no you’ll, but all you’ll do is keep trusting Him even in the midst of seeming contradictions, then surely nothing bad will happen to you. No disease or danger will come near you, because His angels of preservation will always be on duty!

Grace upon grace!
