Upon you I have leaned from before my birth; you are he who took me from my mother’s womb. My praise is continually of you. Psalms 71:6 ESV

A Support is relied, depended, leaned, or hung on to keep afloat. Our text reveals how the psalmist keeps afloat.

Beloved, life is a series of swimming against the tide, from conception to the grave. Keeping afloat therefore depends on who you trust, lean or rely on. Tough as it may seem, being born, remaining alive and excelling in life, is the result of your trust in God. If an unborn child can be filled with the Holy Spirit, then it can trust God. Whatever you are or will ever be, is the direct product of your level of trust, reliance and dependence on God. Trust always produces praise even for incomprehensible matters; this is called faith, with which all things are possible!
