When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion, We were like those who dream. Psalms 126:1 NKJV

Captivity simply means a forceful taking away that brings much unsolicited discomforts, displeasure and limitations.
Our text reveals an abrupt, unanticipated, unexpected and unimaginable end to this captivity, a bringing back home courtesy of the Lord. The Psalmist couldn’t help but describe this amazing restoration as “it seemed like a dream to us” because prior to it, it was considered an impossibility. The truth however is, that which seemed possible only in a dream, that which seemed impossible, did take place. The lost fortunes and riches of Zion were brought back because they repented of their sins and trusted the Lord [had faith in Him for the impossible] 125:1,5.
Beloved, every lost fortune and riches in your life, everything the enemy have stolen and taken captive in your life, whatever the devil has prevented you from having and enjoying, was enabled either because of sin or lack of trust [faith]. Once you repent of your sins or believe the Lord for the impossible, you’ll experience a degree of restoration imaginable only in a dream. God has risen to bring an end to every captivity in your life, restore your fortunes, and give you a pleasant surprise that won’t seem real, will you trust Him?
Grace upon grace!
